Meredith College

Raleigh, NC, USA

More than 130 years ago, Meredith College opened with just over 200 women. Today, our student population is more than 1,700, and we're ranked regionally and nationally among the best colleges.

Meredith is located in Raleigh, North Carolina's capital city, and part of Research Triangle Park – the country’s premier research and development hub. The area’s thriving economy gives students access to powerful internships that often lead to employment after graduation. 97% of Meredith students participate in internships or other hands-on experiences such as study abroad, undergraduate research with faculty or peers, and community-based learning.

Unique and found only at Meredith is our StrongPoints® program - a personal coaching and advising program. You’ll discover, develop, and learn to use your innate strengths to reach your goals at Meredith and beyond.

The College offers 90 majors, minors, and academic programs including the opportunity for a self-designed major. You’ll study with committed faculty and staff who’ll challenge, encourage, and mentor you to use your strong potential.

In addition, Meredith students typically engage with the Office of Career Planning as early as their first year. Professional staff work with students to determine their ideal career path. Career counselors will assist with selecting a major, assessing skills and talents, participating in mock interviews, securing internships, and negotiating that first employment compensation package.

Meredith's historic and park-like 225-acre campus includes a 1,200-seat amphitheater, lake, six residence halls, student apartments, student center, fitness center, and athletic field and track complex.

So, what's the result of this collaborative, powerful experience? 95% of our graduates would choose Meredith again. 99% rated the value of a Meredith College education as good, very good, or excellent.

What Students Are Saying

Meredith College exceeded all of the expectations I had for a college during my application process. I did not apply anywhere else in my search for a location as my future education home, because I immediately felt the connection I had with the campus and the people. Meredith is a spectacular learning and living atmosphere with instructors, peers, and faculty that are truly concerned with the well-being and advancement of the students.
