Formed by the consolidation of Middle Georgia College and Macon State College, Middle Georgia State University is a 4-year institution with five central Georgia campuses. MGA is home to eight colleges conferring undergraduate and graduate degrees. Once every year, MGA invites numerous artists, writers, and performers to campus for the annual MGA Arts Festival where all events are free and open to the public. Additionally, students from states bordering Georgia are eligible to have out-of-state tuition waived through the MGA Border State program.
