Take a visit and see all the different room styles to decide which one is the best for you. Ask about different events going on at campus so you can get a feel for the college community. Take a picture with the bear statue to document your first trip to Missouri State!

-Make sure you apply for FAFSA early. While Missouri State's deadline is not really existent, it becomes very difficult to receive the sufficient financial aid after a certain point if you wait too long. Also, the financial aid office tends to gets very backed up, hindering them from helping you to the best of their abilities. -Parking is one of Missouri State's largest downfalls. Be prepared to drive around for 10-15 minutes looking for an open spot in the few lots that they have available. While purchasing a parking pass is still worth the money, it is a hassle you'll hear many complaining about. -I was mind-blown when I got to school and realized how many resources I have on hand here at Missouri State. Don't hesitate to utilize them. That is what you're paying for, anyway.

Get to know your professors! They are great sources of knowledge not only about their subject, but also about life experiences and other helpful knowledge. And, don't be afraid to reach out and do something new--especially the first few weeks. College is a great place to meet new people or try something different. Nobody will judge you, because they're doing the same thing!

Visit the campus first to see if it's a right fit for you. It can be a little big and has some confusing street ways.
