Red bank and asbury arenâ??t to far from campus and thereâ??s a lot to do in those areas. The beach is also right near Monmouth with a boardwalk. Thereâ??s also tons of activities going on around campus as well.Monmouth mall is nearby too.

Join clubs!! Can't express how vital that is. There are events like Saturday night movies, once a poetry reading, Pinterest diy winter party, things like that are cute. However a substantial amount of people go home on the weekends or party Thursday to Saturday. There is no content shuttle to the mall or the beach as believed by prospective students and freshman. There is a ritzy area called "Pier", bring your wallets. Some places are good eats but always ask for second opinions.

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW PEOPLE IN GREEK LIFE. a lot of the parties are invite or greek only so it is hard to find parties to go to on the weekends. Plus most parties usually don't have alcohol there for you to drink so bring your own mixed drink whenever going out. other than parties, there is not a lot of other things to do on campus. the beach is right down the street but you're mostly here during the cold seasons so it isn't as fun as it seems.

During the week, there is a lot to do on and off campus. There are always activities going on, and there are also free shuttles that can bring you to Pier Village among other stops. Other places nearby include the Monmouth mall, and the beach which is only about a mile from campus. On the weekends, there are a few events, but weekends at Monmouth tend to be empty since most people go home for the weekends.

There are usually fun things to do on-campus most days or nights but most people choose to go out to parties instead. If you don't drink or aren't into partying you probably won't have much of a social life. However, if that's the kind of scene you're looking for then come here! As for things to do on campus there are move screenings for free every Saturday night. They also have comedians and music performers come to the school. Monmouth also advertises being close to the beach and NYC however this is very misleading. Although the beach is only 2 miles away, it's very difficult to get there if you don't have a car. Also it ends up being $30 round trip to get into NYC by train so if you have that money great! But if not you can't really do that.

You can always go to the beach, the Monmouth mall, the movies, ice skating rink near by, bars and clubs close to campus and off campus housing for those over 21 years old.

The beach is about 1 mile down the road, so many students go down to the sand to study, surf, swim, or get some sun when the weather permits. Pier Village and Monmouth Mall also offer plenty of awesome shops to enjoy an afternoon of shopping. Many students take joy in running down to the beach or going to some of the cafes around the area. There is also a movie theater about 10 minutes from campus for those students that enjoy watching movies frequently.
