There is always a Sheriff's Deputy on campus making sure the school is safe and running like it should.
Clubs and Activities
There are a variety of clubs and activities to do around the school but they are not widely advertised.
Great for these types of students
This school is great for anyone wanting to get their feet wet in the college lifestyle. Its not as expensive as a big school and it can help prepare you for the leap to a big university.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The Spooktacular at Halloween is always fun and the trails through the woods behind the school give the nature lover a much desired break from their busy lives.
Bang for the buck
Its a community college, so it is cheap. But the quality of education could rival that of a large expensive college.
What to do for fun
There are plenty of groups to join and many people to befriend and hang out with. The basketball courts are a great place to hang out and relieve stress. And the trails behind the school provide a new look at nature.
Food and Dining
The Hole In The Wall Cafe has some pretty good choices for lunch or supper. The food is great and the cafeteria provides a great place to eat, socialize, and study. Also, the speedy service allows you to keep up with a busy schedule.
There are no dorms so if your looking to stay on campus with a bunch of other college kids, this isn't the place for you. This would be the place for someone wanting an apartment or to live at home, due to the low cost of living. The lack or dorms also helps a little bit with the price of school.
The classes are challenging and only get harder if you don't stay on top of the work. Getting behind and missing work would be the biggest problem for a student here. Getting to know the professors can help greatly with any problems with classwork.
Tips for prospective students
Stay on your work, it will definitely help with the class work. And get to know the professors. Since it is a smaller campus, this is much easier to do and you might just make a few friends along the way.
In three sentences
Montgomery Community College is a great start to someone's college career. A small campus allows a more intimate college experience before heading off to a bigger school. It's a great stepping stone for bigger things later on down the road.
