For in state NM residents, the bang for your buck here at NMSU is awesome. Aside from the lottery scholarship offered to NM resident students, there are automatic institutional scholarships awarded to you when you apply based off of your ACT score and high school cumulative GPA! There are even more private scholarships offered by the colleges and even specific majors at NMSU!

A very affordable college, lots of options for degrees and a good education. Ranking very high, NMSU has a lot to offer, and I think it often gets overlooked because it is a state school, but it is really is a great university. It's a good way to get a great undergrad without burying yourself in student loans before you're 25.
