I am in the Nursing associate degree program right now. It is a tough program, but is defiantly worth it. You get action first semester when you have your clinical at Nursing Homes.

My school,Norfolk State University, is crowded but the programs are amazing. The programs really prepare you for a future career in certain fields. Those programs are the reason I overlook the location of the school.

This school was the worst - I graduated from NSU with a comm degree and couldn't wait to get outta there. Teachers who cant use a computer, typos in every email and syllabus, they don't call you back, full voice mails, attitudinal unhappy employees. NSU is for people who have low expectations, and less ambition - those old deans and dept heads with PHDs from 1975 need to go so some REAL educators can be hired to teach these poor kids.

Norfolk State is a pretty average school, but I've enjoyed my time there so far. The most interesting thing is gaining the perspective of being apart of an HBCU. I've learned a lot from my professors and classes, and overall I'm glad I've started out my college journey there.
