There's so much going on on campus it's not hard to find things to participate in, but our location is also convenient to the fairgrounds, the $2.50 movie theater, Crabtree Mall and other shopping areas, and downtown Raleigh. Concerts are frequent and the city boasts a wide array of restaurants, art galleries, museums, and shops.

We have 837 student organizations, tons of intermural sports, and a club team for any sport you are interested in, so anything you are interested in can probably be found at NC State. Also, we have a rock-climbing wall in the gym, outdoors trips through the gym, video game rooms in the library, movie screenings in the campus cinema, plays, concerts, raves, game nights, visits to the lemur center, a great street for eating out with friends, and over 34,000 people to choose from to hang out with! If you leave your room, you will have fun, guaranteed!

There is a lot to do on campus and off campus for fun. There are literally hundreds of student organizations as well as numerous sororities/fraternities. I was quickly able to find multiple clubs that I could join that also tied in with my interests. Off campus, there is a lot to do as well. Being that NC State is located in Raleigh, the capitol of NC, there is are numerous things to do. Downtown Raleigh has a bunch of amazing local restaurants, stores, and events. There are shows you can find every week, music festivals, parades, etc. It's very hard to stay bored.

Lots! Downtown Raleigh always has shows/entertainment going on. You are also next to Durham and Chapel Hill so if Raleigh doesn't have what you're looking for....you're sure to find it somewhere within the triangle.

There is no shortage of fun on campus. From clubs, movie nights, theater productions, athletic events and games, charity fundraisers, concerts, parties, lectures, fun runs and of course whatever fun/educational booth might be set up in the brickyard, it's never too hard to find something to join or attend for fun. Off campus options are just as great! Raleigh hosts numerous big name performers and has all kinds of events to attend. There are about 3 great malls within a 30 minute or less drive from campus, plenty of bars, restaurants, and other entertainment options in downtown Raleigh or close by areas like Cary and Durham.

Nc State has a very large recreational facility that is open from 6am to 11pm everyday. There are open basketball courts, weight rooms, running tracks, swimming pools, saunas, and also a steam room.
