Great school; learn new things even in introductory classes. The majority of my engineering professors at NCSU have been top notch. They have helped me to go beyond the formulas and math by teaching the concepts related to the subject as well as problem solving skills.

My father attended NC State as an engineering student. Growing up, I wanted to follow in his footsteps and always assumed I would go here. After moving to Florida, my plans changed and I never entertained the thought of going back to NC, especially for college. I applied for the heck of it my senior year and was extremely shocked to be deferred to a later decision as a legacy student, top 10 of my class, 5.06 GPA, AA degree upon graduation, and 1800 SAT. Later on, I was accepted. I went back to NC to visit family and thought we could just stop by the campus and see how it has changed. Seeing NC State as a senior in high school was so different from seeing it as a child. After touring the best schools in Florida, I wish I could go to THIS school. I loved the vibe, layout, and tradition on the campus. I felt like I was welcome. I had mostly committed to University of Florida, but after visiting NC State I tried everything in my power to get aid and make the out-of-state tuition affordable. I just didn't happen for me.

NC State is a place where you can find anything that you are looking for, since it has lots of organizations and lots of colleges, but where you can also feel like you are part of a family. The professors are incredibly supportive here, and available often for whenever you have questions on the homework or class lecture. The classes are challenging, and the opportunities are competitive, so you will receive an amazing education here, while simultaneously experiencing all of the outside activities the university has to offer.

North Carolina State University is a relatively low-priced university, providing quality education and student support. With adequate food, housing, and walking distances, this campus is certainly desirable as living quarters. Aside from that, count on tons of ways to find fun and many occasions where fun comes to you.

NCSU is a very welcoming school. You meet people from all over the world and you will definitely find at least one friend your first day of college. The academics are amazing, especially for STEM job majors. I've heard the State's anatomy class is the best in North Carolina.

It's a good school with good teachers and good prices for in-state students. Financial aid is lousy. It's in a great location.

NC State is a surprisingly gorgeous school. I don't know how many people really pay attention to the beauty of the campus, but when I visited, I took notice of the life and nature that was well, everywhere. After all, State is in a big city! I intend to take another tour soon, guided by a friend who is a freshman at State.

North Carolina State University is a great school. I'm enrolled in the College of Education and I thoroughly enjoy the smaller class sizes in this department. Campus life has really given me a boost in leadership, independence and providing me with an excellent academic program for my career goals.

NC State is a huge sprawling campus with a lot of diversity. There is a heavy emphasis on technical majors, but there is still a lot of different people with different focuses. It is not the easiest to navigate or the prettiest school, but it is still a very good college.
