It's important to talk to your professors and to attend classes as much as possible! Chances are that if a professor knows you and they can see that you are taking your schooling seriously, they are more willing to help you out. I would also emphasize the importance of getting involved on campus, just because North Central Michigan College is a community college, does not mean that there aren't great opportunities all around!

Some tips I would give future students here would be to take notes during class, actually pay attention, and do your homework. Contact the professors, their here for a reason. Form a study group for the classes you find challenging. Also, plan out your schedule for classes because it will be extremely helpful.

Go to class! A lot of professors will keep track of and grade for attendance, and they will let you know of this on the first day. Meeting with an adviser was also very helpful, I've always met with Cliff and he's a great guy. As long as you take the time to study and do your homework, the teachers will recognize that and you will pass with flying colors.
