It's what you make it. College is fun but you have to stay focus and get everything you need accomplish. Also make sure grades stay on point and make sure financial aid knows your name and face .

Northern Illinois university is a surprisingly great school. There are a lot of things to do on campus if you are willing to put your self out there to join activities/clubs that may interest you. Not only is the out of classroom life nice, the professors are very open and willing to help out there students to achieve the goals they've made for their college careers.

Northern is a decent school if the student is involved on campus. The finances however are alot to handle if the student does not have help from parents. The financial aid department is not as helpful from a transfer student perspective, they are limited to the help they can provide a student.
