The professors are great and really helpful. I would especially recommend the Spanish department. However, I didn't really like the ELI (extended learning institute). It's kind of nicer to just be in an actual classroom. Except for ELI, I highly recommend NOVA!

Nova is a great way to start your education towards your career. They prepare you very well academically , physically, mentally and psychologically for the life ahead. Their classes are very affordable and they provide you with good resources and people to contact for assistance.

It is cheaper in tuition, since it is a community college. Yet, the quality of academics is superb. Professors care about their students, and there are several campuses, making it very convenient.

Nova is a great place to start if you’re looking to transfer or to start working right away. It saves a lot of money and it definitely gives you a feel of what college work is really like. It’s very easy to get off track and be stuck in a community college for years, so I recommend having a plan or goal and sticking to it.

Great school, perfect for students who are undecided. Big network, you get a lot of help when it comes to transferring. Choosing your major gets easier with the time you are here.

Probably the most convenient place to go to if you have no idea what you are trying to pursue. I went back in 2013 took a break in 2015 but am returning this spring 2018 and is a good start for people who just graduated high school. People who work in campus are helpful when it comes to finding what you enjoy the most and set you into a career path you will stick with and from there it helps even more when wanting to transfer to a 4 year university.

NOVA is a great place to get your gen-eds out of the way without going into debt! Many of the professors also teach at GMU, so it's just like buying the off-brand cereal - same product, less expensive. The student body is diverse in age, race, gender, and religion.

NOVA is definitely nothing like a 4 year college. It's for people that want to get their general classes done and then move on. You won't make many friends but you'll get your credits and be able to move on fast.
