First, please visit! I scoured Northland's website before attending, but the atmosphere that Northland students fall in love with is difficult to explain in words. You can come visit at any time during the semester, so I'd encourage you to take the time to come see for yourself what we're all about. I promise that you won't regret it! Second, be prepared for the weather. It IS cold, but coming prepared will make your first year much easier! Third, please realize that Northland is not just a Christian university by name. Northland's mission and goals are clearly lived out by the staff and faculty, which fosters an atmosphere of discipleship and growth on campus. If that is what you're looking for in a school, you'll love Northland!

The first tip I would say would be to contact Mandy McClain and watch her work her financial aid magic. The second tip is to get ready for a friendly/family environment as the student body is a close knit community.

Tips for Prospective Students: - Don't be afraid of not knowing anyone; you will definitely be warmly welcomed by many. - The classes are a bit challenging and take some effort, but are definitely worth the extra work. Plus, teachers are more than willing to take the time to go through something individually with their students. -Expect Northland to be more than just an educational degree but a life-learning experience. The heart of Northland is expressed in the harmony and unity the student body portrays in everyday life on campus.
