You get a great education for an amazing price. That being said, you may miss out on a lot of fun university things but you'll be able to transfer anywhere in no time! Also, the small class sizes may help some people who struggle with their school work or even things such as social anxiety.

oakton community college cost about one hundred dollars per credit hour, which is amazing when you compare that to your average university. i will always recommend going to a community college first before going straight to a four year school, unless you have a full ride to a full you university then take it. oakton it a great bang for your buck to get an associates degree or to take classes to transfer because either way it is well worth it.
