Horrible administrative offices. The nursing office is the worst of all! They constantly have deadlines that aren't even days that the college is open, they make you do EVERYTHING in person, causing people to have to take off of work and drive in (keep in mind TR is really far north in ocean county and some people live an hour or more away), and you have to register twice once to 'save your seat' and the other to register except almost everyone loses their seat anyway because the registration dates are never lined up with when the cashier's office can take payment. Also one of THE MOST expensive community colleges in NJ. You can go to Brookdale (In Monmouth) out of county for the same prices as OCC in-county. Wish I'd known earlier and had done that myself.

Ocean County College is a typical 2-year college. Most professors and staff are friendly. There is no close-community feel here, it's not easy to make friends.

It gets a bad rap from most students, but it really isn't bad... This coming from a Penn State main transfer student. I think the bad rap is from students who are embarrassed to be attending county college, but no one should be. It's smart to go there... Save money and get good grades easy.

Good for commuting students who are looking to be able to take classes at their own convenience. Allows you to be able to work and go to school and not feel to overwhelmed. Also is an easy campus to figure out and the website is easy as well.

Ocean County College is a great transition from high school to college. If you are unsure about what you may want to major in, save your time and money by attending a county college. Best financial decision I could have made.
