Although it has a 66% acceptance rate, the classes are far from easy. Class sizes usually fall between 6 and 30 so participation is a must. Professors are fully invested in the enrichment of the students, so as students, we are expected to be focused on knowledge as well.

The US Department of Agriculture cited Ohio Wesleyan during an April inspection for inaccurate reporting, failure to review its procedures, and failing to document that it searched for less-invasive methods of conducting the experiments. The university caused traumatic spinal cord injuries to 40 guinea pigs over the course of 2013 and 2014. The USDA states: There was no documentation that a mandatory review of the program is being conducted and that one such semi-annual review hadn't been filed since 2012. Ohio Wesleyan failed to accurately report on what animals it was using to conduct experiments. The new administrator in charge of the program was not aware that this was a requirement! They didn't even mention using guinea pigs. It clearly appears that someone at Ohio Wesleyan is essentially asleep at the wheel. They should also be cited for unqualified personnel for the administration doesn't even know what they are supposed to be doing. These projects should be shut down immediately!

Ohio Wesleyan University is an amazing environment in which individuals find out more about who they are and how they interact with others. I know that even though I'm only a sophomore I have learned so much about my interests and habits just from the three semesters I've spent on campus this far. It's hard to imagine my life had I not chosen OWU; it would be so empty.

I am happy here. The food is not very good, but I have found some amazing, inspiring, driven friends and the Shared Living Units (SLUs) are full of incredible people. Living in Tree House has given me a second family and a marvelous college experience.

If you want to put more value on academic wise, this is the one. However, if you want to live your college life just as you have been dreaming about, this might not be a great choice. Everything is so small around here.

Ohio Wesleyan is a small liberal arts university which is a good fit for me. The courses here are intensive and challenging to me because if you don't keep up with your study, you might fail the course. It is very easy to make friends here.

Ohio Wesleyan University is fun, but challenging. It is fun in the sense that there are a lot of clubs, groups, and events to attend on campus. It is challenging because of the classes, they have to be taken seriously or they will become overwhelming.

The campus is small in size, but it is extremely diverse and is home to many international students. With that said, there is a grand array of clubs, sports, events, languages to take, and things to do. Our motto at Ohio Wesleyan University, is to Never have an ordinary day!

Ohio Wesleyan is situated in quaint, rural mid-west environment with a 10:1 student to faculty ratio, making it an awesome place to learn first-hand from a very talented and dedicated group of academics. It offers a broad range of student activities, ranging from special-interest clubs to foreign study programs to highly-competitive Division 3 athletics. For the student seeking a high-quality education without the distractions of a large city, I strongly recommend visiting OWU in Delaware, OH.
