What Students Are Saying

Get involved! The more activities you do, the more people you will meet. This will help with depression, networking, and making lifetime friends or mates. OC will feel like home if you become involved and learn your surroundings. Everyone is just as nervous and lonely as you until they meet people and get involved. This also helps with learning what is in store for your life and what you like to do. MAKE MEMORIES!
Whitney from Pryor, OK
before attending a university research the university's mission statement and learn if it's the right fit for you. your success rate depends highly upon how well you fit into the university you choose to attend.
never hold back from fear. ask questions and be a go getter and you will be remembered by teachers, deans, president's and potential employers.
Joshua from Oklahoma City, OK

John from Valley View, TX
I would say to come into your college experience with an open mind. It can be really easy to automatically judge a campus when you arrive, but it is very important to keep an open mind through it all.
Olivia from Pasadena, CA
Make sure you are prepared for professors who challenge you intellectually and spiritually! They will take your hidden talents and skills and expose them for you to see. The homework may be challenging, but it's only strengthening you.
Whitney from Topeka, KS
It is a safe and well rounded campus. Also consider the class size to be a blessing. one on one allows you learn and understand all the knowledge that you will there in the class.
Kara from Edmond, OK
Sign up for their online community and make friends. That's how I meant some of the people at school I hang out with now. Most importantly, open up! Say hi to everyone because I guarantee a conversation will be started. Attend campus events as well. It will help you get familiar with the campus. Also, when Earn Your Wings approaches remember to let loose and have fun. That's where you are going to meet some of your best friends!
Dakota from Jones, OK
Tips for prospective students is to visit the school to see how great it is. When you get there everyone will be willing to help you with anything you need.
