Have an idea for what your major is or what kind of classes you'll be interested in. Never be afraid to just dive in though because you may find you like something different than what you originally thought. I never liked Anthropology before I took classes at OC, now I found out I'm pretty good at the subject.

Ask for help and visit teachers during office hours. What makes Olympic's teachers so amazing are the after lecture help sessions just about every teacher is willing to offer. I have three tips for the prospective student: 1. If you decide to take an online class, do not anticipate that it will be easier, take less time, or effort. It is actually harder than a normal class. You must me be a responsible student who will take the hours needed to complete course work. 2. If you have any concerns make an appointment with an advisor and do it as soon as possible, it is difficult to schedule over the phone, it is best to just go in and wait for one to become available. Also once you do go in, ask as many questions as possible, the counselors are there to help you. 3. Take advantage of the wonderful teachers at Olympic College, ask for advice after class, clarify the notes, assignment e.t.c. Whatever it takes in order for you to succeed!
