    Get involved:clubs, student government, events! Become someone on campus who people ask to get things done- it will write your resume for you!

    I have never felt safer on any campus. Staff & faculty are amazing and really cares. Every student has the opportunity to shine- no matter your age or background!

    Safe campus with emergency services as well as campus after patrolling. No serious problems on campus or in the city as a whole.

    Many clubs and activities offered on campus. If you can't find a club you'd like to join, fairly easy to start a new club.

    Great for these types of students

    out doors students students who want to live in a close knit community students interest in nature or the natural world students interested in small learning environments hand on research one on one time with professors opportunities to meet with community leaders a fun place to live

    Bang for the buck

    Cheaper then other universities in the state due to less expensive student fees. Despite the price break, still a great education as well as free services and facilities for student use.

    What to do for fun

    Central Oregon offers hundreds of things to do from skiing in the winter to rock climbing in the summers. No shortage of outdoor activities to take advantage of in Bend. Have never had so much fun in one city alone.

    Food and Dining

    Good food in amazing facilities throughout campus. Can not wait to see what the new campus expansion has to offer.

    Dorm Life

    Meet new and interesting people with on campus living; while having a view of the cascade mountains from campus.

    Academic Rigor

    Challenging courses taught by amazing professors. You will learn a lot while still having fun in school.

    Tips for prospective students

    Don't let the small student population cloud your judgement. Despite being a small school, it still has a college feel with a great student body.

    Oregons best kept secret. A great education with great faculty in a great place to live. Education made easy in a place that you love.

    Between OSU-C and COCC there is plenty to choose from!

    Great for these types of students

    Older student attending part time and active outdoor students not in a hurry to graduate!

    Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    Small campus hoping to evolve into a full 4 year school!

    Bang for the buck

    Like I said, be prepared to be patient. The trade off of location is worth it, but only if you like the high desert!

    Here is where we excel! An awesome place to live and play. All kinds of outdoor summer activities and awesome winter sports!

    No true dorms for the OSU Cascades campus. The partner school COCC has them...

    Be prepared to spend a little more than 2+2 (4 years). Class offerings aren't always there, so it can be frustrating.

    A school with a long term vision that is still waiting to grow up. Trying to meet the needs of students, but not quite there. We'll be there soon!

    The food and dining areas are actually part of the Central Oregon Community College buildings.

    I don't live in dorms, I am not even sure if they have any for the Cascades campus.

    Academic Rigor

    Educating but not overwhelming.

    Tips for prospective students

    Make sure you read and do everything that is required way before the due dates for applying. Talk to your advisor as often as possible to make sure you are taking the right courses and satisfying the most requirements in the shortest amount of time.

    Everyone is very friendly and helpful. It has a great student/staff community where everyone feels included.

    I just started last term and am not aware of the clubs this school offers.

    great place to attend school if you like the outdoors and enjoy cold snowy winter months.

    There is plenty of great restaurants near OSU.

    Tips for prospective students

    I was enrolled as a full time student, however I dropped a class and ended up being charged an over payment because I dropped to part time, now I owe the school money. Make sure you understand financial aid and student loan requirements before dropping classes. Its much different then going to a community college.

    After finishing my first term this summer at OSU, I am excited for fall term. I feel like the transition to OSU cascades from central Oregon community college has been easy. My adviser and the rest of staff have been friendly and helpful.

    There are beautiful mountains and pine trees all around you. Sometimes the deer run around campus. The library is nice too.
