My favorite thing to do is just hang out with my friends. It's fun just to hang out at different people's houses, go explore downtown Corvallis, or cheer on the Beavers at sporting events. Eating out is always fun too. There are some really good restaurants downtown that not many people know about if you are feeling adventurous, and then there are some big chain restaurants on 9th street. Because I played sports in high school, intramural sports are great if you miss the game. There are non-competitive leagues if you just want to play for fun or the more competitive ones were you can win the coveted intramural league champions shirts.

There's plenty to do: visit the Dixon Rec center for rock climbing, join the Adventure club for hikes and outdoor fun, find a party, get together with friends to just hang out, etc

Join a club! Also, intramural sports are a fun way to get to know others and get involved on campus.

Corvallis is a pretty small town and everything is pretty much based around the university which I love. It's the definition of a college-town. But with that you have a limited amount to do. There are a ton of cute shops downtown which great restaurants as well as Monroe Street which is on the edge of campus. The gym is huge and I regularly go there which is super fun. Also, with us being such a large University with a great athletics department we always have sporting events going on; whether it be the Pac-12 team, Club or Intramurals. I am also a member of Greek life and that it a great way to make friends and be apart of a great organization and you have tons of fun!

Corvallis is a quiet town as there's no big city nearby. If partying isn't your scene, there are a lot of community-based clubs to join. In addition, there's some very nice hiking and biking spots close to campus.

There are a lot of bars near campus, and even more restaurants. There is bowling and billiards on campus, as well as a gym with a pool and hot tub. There are intramural fields right in the middle of campus and several parks within walking distance. There are 2 movie theaters in town and another bowling alley which are all a few miles from campus.

There are dozens of clubs to occupy your time with, involving anything from archery to anime. The Memorial Union Basement is host to a variety of fun activities, including a full bowling alley, billiards, dart boards, air hockey table, and arcade games. Not to mention the dorm room Resident Assistants (RA's) are almost always putting on hall events, such as movie nights, game nights, contests, and raffles. Dixon Recreation Center also has tons of work out equipment, pools, saunas, badminton courts, racquetball courts, basketball courts, ping-pong tables, running tracks, and a massive indoor rock wall. Every term there is a Dixon After Dark event, which takes place on a Friday night and hosts poker tournaments, dance contests, inflatable obstacle courses, snow cones, and other exciting attractions. The weekends are also when Greek Life is in full-fledge, with fraternities and sororities hosting parties and events.
