Dixon rec center has various themed rec nights throughout the term, and all of the cultural centers host regular events open to all students. There is a bowling alley under the memorial union building that is open all week. Students can take a short walk either downtown for shopping or to the woods for hiking.

Lots of sports events are always going on, and a good bit of the student population goes to those. There are also 400+ clubs to choose from (and if you don't like the options you can make your own!) Downtown Corvallis is a short drive away (and public transportation is free for students)!

My favorite thing to do is just hang out with my friends. It's fun just to hang out at different people's houses, go explore downtown Corvallis, or cheer on the Beavers at sporting events. Eating out is always fun too. There are some really good restaurants downtown that not many people know about if you are feeling adventurous, and then there are some big chain restaurants on 9th street. Because I played sports in high school, intramural sports are great if you miss the game. There are non-competitive leagues if you just want to play for fun or the more competitive ones were you can win the coveted intramural league champions shirts.

There's plenty to do: visit the Dixon Rec center for rock climbing, join the Adventure club for hikes and outdoor fun, find a party, get together with friends to just hang out, etc

Join a club! Also, intramural sports are a fun way to get to know others and get involved on campus.

Corvallis is a pretty small town and everything is pretty much based around the university which I love. It's the definition of a college-town. But with that you have a limited amount to do. There are a ton of cute shops downtown which great restaurants as well as Monroe Street which is on the edge of campus. The gym is huge and I regularly go there which is super fun. Also, with us being such a large University with a great athletics department we always have sporting events going on; whether it be the Pac-12 team, Club or Intramurals. I am also a member of Greek life and that it a great way to make friends and be apart of a great organization and you have tons of fun!
