The small class sizes and individual attention from one's professor (as opposed to a graduate assistant as is the case at most large schools) sets students up for success. It's impossible to just blend in during a class.

Very small, but lovely campus. More individual attention from professors, most of the time. Filled with (mostly) nice people.

I had a very bad experience at Otterbein and I'm transferring after this semester because they are very fake. No one at this school is looking to help or support you, they just are in it for themselves. If you like a very high school and cliquey environment, then you've found the right school.

Otterbein is a place where everyone seems to be very friendly and kind to one another. I have made so many friends and fit in very well there. I am confident that I made the right choice to go to Otterbein.

Good for students who truly want that small school feeling. Pretty campus with more focus on education than anything else. Known for theatre, music, nursing, and equine programs.

Otterbein is a small community (with a little over 3,000 students) located in Westerville, Ohio (recently ranked as the number one suburb in the nation to live in). Otterbein offers a high quality education to its students (the curriculum is designed to produce well-rounded students prepared for the professional world and the professors are great). Otterbein offers so many opportunities to its students, including various resources on campus, various organizations/clubs and internships/jobs.

Otterbein is a great place to grow up and transition from an out-of-high-school graduate to an aspiring career person. There are many activities to be involved in to make new friends and connections. You will not only grow as a person and friend, but you will be well-prepared for your future.

A fantastic small university that gives a good balance between liberal arts and science majors. Transferring to larger schools such as OSU is difficult due to course descriptions.

Otterbein University is a small private college with total of about 3000 undergrad. The small size is perfect for students who want to be able to talk with their professors one-on-one and professors know you more personally than just by your name. Also, classes are very small, such as my largest lecture is Biology with about 60 or so students.
