The programs are rigorous, but wonderfully small and provide many resources for help and additional learning. The homework and reading are heavy, and going the extra mile in your studies pays off.

PLU is a small school that's amazing to go to, especially for students in the Pacific Northwest. Its focus is truly on the students, and there are resources everywhere to make it a well-rounded college for the people who attend. They're willing to work with students in every situation; I found the people there to be extremely warm and welcoming.

With it being a small school you are able to network with people who are already in the field that you want to work in. They offer you immediate knowledge and experience in the career field a student is seeking.

Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is a private university that has a welcoming atmosphere and fits many different personalities. The main focus is the academics, of course, but then there are many different clubs and organizations out there for people to join. There is always some event going on with these clubs and organizations, from concerts in Lagerquist Hall in the Mary Baker Russell Music Building to leaving campus for a day on the water or on Mt. Rainier.
