There is so much to do here and you will never be at a loss trying to find something to do. Ever weekend, numerous activities, such as crafts and movies are held at the student activity center. This is always a good time to make new friends! In addition there are many things to do outside of campus as well. You can hike Mount Nittany for the first time and see the beautiful sunrise on top of that mountain or you can go bowling with your friends. Here at Penn State, there is nothing you can't do for fun, only stuff you haven't done before.

It's Penn State, a party school, what do you think? haha but really there's so much more to do than that. Each floor will have meetings that will give you the opportunity to know your dormmates. You can skate at the Pegula Ice Rink, go to football games, play intramural or club sports, go to your club's socials, go shopping downtown, ect.

FOOTBALL GAMES ARE SO MUCH FUN! There are also a handful of concerts and celebs that are brought in for a fun Friday night. Penn State is kind of it's own little town, so whether you find it fun to people watch (especially in the morning after parties the walk of shame is just so funny) or rather be on the other side and go to the parties, there are plenty of things to do on and right around campus.

Anything and everything! If you are looking for something to do, I guarantee Penn State offers it. The social life in Happy Valley is second to none. The diverse mix of students and various activities both on-campus and downtown will make for exciting weekends and memories. We offer almost 1,000 clubs and student organizations for students to get involved in. There is a club for just about any type of activity you can think of. Wanna golf? Join Club Golf. Wanna play quidditch? Join Club Quidditch. Wanna get involved in your major? Join (insert major name here) association. The list is endless! If you're looking to get involved in the community and give back, Penn State is the place for you. We Are home to the largest student-run philanthropy in the worldâ??THON. We also offer a ton of other volunteer opportunities around State College. Downtown State College is quaint, fun, and the best 4-year home any college student could ask for. College Ave and Beaver Ave are littered with boutiques, shops, restaurants, and many more local businesses that promise a fun outing any day or night of the week. And lastly, our sports teams are awesome. Our sports teams are absolutely dominant. Check out a football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, fencing, tennis, or baseball game to show off your Penn State pride! We Are, in fact, home to about half a dozen NCAA championship teams. I cannot think of a better feeling than cheering my heart out and showing my Penn State pride at a football or basketball game. There is never a dull moment at PSU.

There is so much to do in and around the college. Living off campus me and my housemates have explored the surrounding area for local attractions. I think my favorite spot so far has been the State Theater, where one can go and watch a range of films from the Independent scene to Hollywood Classics. There are a number of local restaurants and café to relax and enjoy the company of a good friend or to sit back and study. On weekends is when the town really comes to life and you can see all walks of life running from club to club enjoying the night. All in all I think during the day State College is quaint and quit place to enjoy all local shops, restaurants and even its own theater.

-Football, football, football. Penn State lives and breathes football so season tickets are a must. They go on sale in June and are a great investment! If you can't make it to a game you are able to sell your ticket and can even get double its face value -Other sporting events like wrestling, volleyball, hockey and so on. A lot of these events are free for students, so utilize them!! -Greek life is a huge part of Penn State. The recruitment process starts in early September and this year Penn State boasted one of it's largest sorority recruitment numbers ever -Work out! There are three facilities on campus and once you purchase a membership ($60 for the semester, $110 for the year) you can use whichever gym you please. Each offers classes like Zumba and washboard abs for no extra charge

Every week there are movies showing in the HUB. The movies are fairly recent and there are multiple showings so it is easy to find a good time to go. Also, on Friday and Saturday nights, there is LateNight in the HUB where you can play games or do arts and crafts. Each of the commons also has activities such as ping pong, air hockey, etc. If you're in the mood for shopping, NIttany Mall, Target, Walmart, etc are a bus ride away.
