Student Responses to Review Topic: What To Do For Fun

There are plenty of activities, although the group that is in charge of them (the Lion Entertainment Board or LEB) about half the time does something stupidly childish like bring a stuffed animal workshop to stuff your own plush animal (which is a complete waste of the Student Activity Fee that you have to pay). They usually bring singers on Friday nights, although never anyone big, otherwise the college would not be able to afford it. Former contestants from the Voice are among those that have been invited in the past. There is a spring concert where they do plan on getting somebody nationally recognized to perform here. For the Spring 2017 semester, they brought the rapper, Ludacris, to perform. There is a committee that you can serve on that chooses who will be the spring concert performer. It helps to befriend others who do things off campus. For example, one of the shuttle bus drivers that I befriended my freshman year is a DJ and wanted to establish an Internet radio station from his home, and I have spent many a weekend working in the studio, which is much more enjoyable than running around on an oversized tricycle or shoving stuffing up a doll's rear end. (Note: the activities described here have all happened.) For more fun, join a club. There are religious clubs, political clubs, clubs for your major, clubs for interests like weightlifters, and even for unusual interests like anime fans too.

There are tons of clubs, and Erie has enough trouble to get into that you can usually find something to do.

If you have a car or a friend who has a car there is quite a bit to do! In the summer there are festivals downtown in Erie, and plays to go to. You can go fishing, hunting, swimming, and biking down at the peninsula. At Peak N' Peak nearby there is snowboarding and tubing in the winter. On campus there is a number of groups to join, and events every Friday, so you won't be bored often.

There is Wintergreen Gorge right next to the campus so hiking is very popular. There is also a game room where you can borrow different gaming gear but still recommend you bring your own games. There's also a night life where you can do random things like glow dance after 11pm.

Behrend has evening events almost every Friday and the gamers club has game night Fridays as well :). If you enjoy hiking there are trails in the gorge right by campus to go hiking in and a swimming hole.
