There are so. many. events. Freshman are not allowed to have cars, but they do a good job of always having things on campus going on. They play movies, have dances, There always seems to be some sort of fair going on down caf lane (main road down the middle of campus), whether that is a career fair, club fair, church fair, Fair Trade fair, Environmental Awareness fair, book fair, etc. There are often on-campus concerts by local musicians. There are so many things to do in San Diego, too. There are several farmers markets, Balboa Park, Old Town San Diego, etc. Plus you could always go surfing at the beach without even leaving campus.

There's endless opportunities for fun in San Diego! The only limit is your imagination. The campus has a beach access point, so surfing is a favorite hobby for many Lomans. There's tons of cute coffee shops and restaurants in San Diego, and there's always events going on like farmers' markets, etc. On campus, there are free exercise classes, clubs, game nights, music nights with free coffee and tea ("Musoffee"), plays, music concerts, and movie nights in the beautiful Greek amphitheater. The vibe here is very chill and laid-back, so lots of people love to slow down and enjoy the outdoors while hammocking, hiking, watercolor painting, or sunbathing. Never a dull day in sunny San Diego.

There are multiple clubs around campus to join. The beach is accessible from the school grounds and there are multiple occasions where movies, parties, and games are hosted.

Anything in the ocean, shuttle down to the shopping mall, Ocean Beach area, Old Town, Gas Lamp district. Couldn't have more options than here.

As Point Loma stands near Sunset Cliffs, it is always fun to venture down to the ocean. Surfing is a popular pastime for Loma students and teachers can always be found. There is also two malls in the vicinity as well numerous other ventures. Great Escapes allows an avenue for those who are the outdoorsy type as they mud-caving, hikes, and more available in the student recreation center.

The ocean is literally my backyard, so that is the number one best thing to do for fun at Point Loma. Throw on a bathing suit and head down the cliffs to get some sun and enjoy the surf. There are also so many different clubs and events to get involved with weekly that is impossible not to find something you love.
