There is so much available to you: shopping, museums, sight seeing, etc. Honestly, the world is your oyster.

We are in the middle of the greatest city, there are endless things to do for fun. Join a club at school, go see a Broadway show, explore the city! Find your relaxing spot in the city, be it a coffee shop, the park, place on the campus, and just people watch, slow down and enjoy your own company. NYU hosts so many concerts and seminars, most of which offer discount tickets for students!

NYC! It's the city that never sleeps. There's always something to do every day, even if it's just going up to see Central Park, or the free museums you can go with your NYU id card! You won't be bored.

NYU actually provided fun things to do so we didn't have to find them all on our own! Since I'm in a country where I could legally drink, NYU hosted a welcome party at a club when everyone arrived, took students on a Pub Crawl, and several holiday parties where mulled wine and desserts were served. They had relaxing things to do while finals week was torturing students. The best part was the Cultural Programming events. Each student was given a hundred credits to use on events and trips NYU would pay for. Some things cost more credits than others and one could only use the hundred credits they were given, but that included some fantastic things like the ballet, musicals, Harry Potter Studio Tour, sports matches, and trips that would take a couple hours to get to. NYU showed us what it was like to have fun in London!

Go out to museums, there's student discounts/free admission. Go out to eat (there's plenty of cheap and good place, just have to find them). Go to WSP or Central Park, just explore the city.

Everything you could possibly imagine is at your fingertips! Don't get stuck in Washington Square, hop on the Subway and explore the entire map. Go see a play on broadway, visit the Met on the Upper East side, go to Smorgasburg in Brooklyn, and check out the amazing galleries and the Highline in Chelsea. There is always something to do whether its 1 PM or 1 AM or any time in between. There has not been a single day of boredom since I've gotten here and I don't plan to have one over my entire 4 years.

Pay attention to on-campus events (there are a ton!) but make sure to look at other events that are happening around the city. There are a million things to do for cheap that you can't do anywhere else in the world.
