Established in 1965, Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez is a private, Christ-centered institution located in western Puerto Rico. As one of the world’s 25 pontifical universities, PUCPR offers over 30 undergraduate and eight postgraduate degree programs with courses featuring a Christian academic perspective. The college is also home to the Short Careers Institute of PUCPR, which provides career-oriented certification in seven areas of study, and the Institute of Continuing Education of  PUCPR, which provides courses, workshops, forums, conferences, training, and certifications for both the university and the public.
