I am definitely learning all I need and it is great. I was at first hesitant about going to a community college for the first year but I soon found out that that is not at all a problem. I thought classes at a University would be more informative and a better experience. Starting at a community college, especially PCC, is a great idea.

I am in the ThinkBIG program through Cat and it is the best program I can imagine for someone going into the heavy equipment field. Get paid 1/2 of the time while on internship working at a Caterpillar dealership anywhere in WA, ID, OR, MT, or AK! 10/10 would reccomend!

Portland Community College provides a relatively inexpensive opportunity for non-traditional students and those who did not perform well in high school to succeed in a college setting. The school has programs for mothers returning to school, minority male initiatives, and leadership opportunities which are relatively easy to obtain. Classes are not too difficult and instructors are often understanding of one's personal situation (though of course, not all).

Great environment, great people, great teachers. I haven't had any bad experiences at PCC, it took me a couple weeks to understand my writing teacher, but after that it was smooth sailing! The worst thing about my college experience so far would be the Portland traffic, but that isn't PCC's fault!

PCC has courses that have really helped with my future career. Multiple campuses around make for easy access even for extra tutoring or studying at the library. It's been really easy to apply, register for classes, and complete them.

The quarter system of PCC allows you to finish a degree much faster than semester systems; however, it comes with a downside of receiving a more summarized education. The campuses is split into four main locations spread around Portland, this can be at times convenient and at other times inconvenient; a free shuttle across campuses is provided. I have taken one quarter here so far and the professors have been great.

Go to Clackamas Community College. Better professors, and MUCH better administration. PCC doesn't care about their students only profitability.

it's a great school for those who took some time off, have a busy home/work life, and who need to have a less costly option. almost all my professors have been great and are very knowledgeable in their subjects. i'm very glad i chose pcc when i went back to school.

Portland Community College has great and friendly campuses. The education you get here is worth the time and effort. It's good to start out at a community college and get your prerequisites out of the way.
