Definitely join a club when you enter the school. It's a great way to meet new people and make friends. Always always always keep in touch with your major department adviser before registering for classes and if you have general questions about the major and for planning ahead. Keep up with assignments and don't procrastinate.

If you like a homey, relaxing campus where everyone is not in a hurry to get to places, this is the place for you. It is not so small that everybody knows your face around campus but not so big that you would feel lost. Get out and join clubs, make friends and have a good time! (But remember to hand in your assignments!) For bookworms out there, Queens College library is really, really beautiful. And for music majors and liberal arts majors, the courses offered here are pretty good. Good luck!
