    Campus Safety

Two little boys who think they're hard. There is basically no security whatsoever. It's a joke.

    Clubs and Activities

    NONE!

Great for these types of students

Idiots! Naive idiots. If you are one of these people or a monkey then go here. Because you don't need brains to pass these classes.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Walking to the 7-11 to get food and eat with only a 10 minute break in a five hour period.

    Bang for the buck

I did not learn anything in my first semester that I didn't already know from being self-taught or working. In fact, one instructor in particular, Sandy Strouse, I believe was extremely pissed at me because I knew way more than I "was supposed to know". She even accused me of plagiarism in my second clinical when I didn't even have access to the EMR. I honestly think she was jealous, she is only four years older than I, and as a nursing student, I out-diagnosed her multiple times, which only made me more of a target. I asked questions in class she could not answer because she is ignorant and does not know her stuff. She reads off the slides and if you ask her a question that is not on the slide, she won't answer you, she will just skirt around the question. Ha! Why don't they put some people in there that know what they are doing?

    What to do for fun

Not one thing. All their "activities" are a joke and put together by a bunch of people who know nothing about putting events together.

    Food and Dining

Forget it! Pack or drive off campus.

    Dorm Life

Ehhhhhhh, they can't afford dorms. They are a private, for-profit institution and no one can afford to go there because they do not have federal funding. Dorms? please, they don't even have adequate training facilities.

    Academic Rigor

It's just a bunch of busy work that leaves you with less time to actually study. I swear whomever made up their curriculum must be dumber than a box of rocks. There is no real learning being done in the classroom and if, God forbid, you miss a day or two you get a "warning", just one more thing on your record as a way to "kick you out" later. Oh, and I almost forgot, when they do kick you out, they will put on your transcripts that you were "dismissed" and then some reason why, which basically screws your chances of ever getting into another school ever again. And I know what your thinking, "well I just won't mess up then". Yea, good luck with that. If you are not liked or you don't do something right the first time you are put under a microscope and anything you say and do is documented, wrongly half the time, and then will weed you out. DO NOT go here!!!!! You have been warned. You will waste a lot of your money for nothing if you do.

    Tips for prospective students

Do NOT go here!!!!! They have a cohort program with ODU because they do not even qualify for federal funding. This place is a joke. The "simulation lab" is horrible. There is no real teaching. The class size is ridiculous. They have no moral compass and will lie about things you did or didn't do. on their "academic warnings" or "conduct warnings", which in and of itself is ridiculous; they hand them out like candy and then use that as a way to weed people out of their system, Oh, and they deliberately allow Sandy Strouse to sabotage ADA accommodations with no repercussions for her, however, I was the one who was punished.

    In three sentences

The teachers are against you, especially in the first semester; the "weed out" semester. Sandy Strouse, in particular, is the worst human being ever created. She will target you if she does not like you and you will get kicked out.

    Campus Safety

Every student, staff, and faculty is required to where a badge for identification purposes on campus and at the hospital. Also, you cannot enter any of the academic buildings without scanning your badge. We also perform numerous drills every term in preparation for potential emergencies.

Great for these types of students

If you are the type of student who loves hands-on learning, Riverside is the place for you. The classes are small enough for private instruction also.

    Bang for the buck

There are endless learning opportunities outside the classroom. The school is constantly updating the campus resources to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Also, they love to hire their graduating students!

    What to do for fun

Riverside is a small school so we get really close, really fast. We love to volunteer for the community and our school/hospital.

    Food and Dining

Riverside does not have its own cafeteria on campus, but there are various areas with microwaves, vending machines, etc. Our campus is close to plenty of restaurants if you prefer not to bring your lunch. There are student programs and caring staff that like to give/sell lunches and snacks for fundraisers and also just for brain power!

    Dorm Life

Riverside does not have dorms. Riverside campus is near some safe neighborhoods, such as Hilton Village, if you are looking to relocate.

    Academic Rigor

I am in the Professional Nursing program and it can be pretty intense, but extremely rewarding and fun. Our terms are 13 weeks long and we get about a month off between terms.

    Tips for prospective students

USE YOUR RESOURCES. Riverside provides endless resources to help students in the classroom, studying at home, and even financially.

    In three sentences

Riverside is a small, private school. The staff and faculty go above and beyond to help all students reach the ultimate goal of graduation. The clinical sites we have attended are spectacular for learning the processes of health care.
