Founded in 1842, Roanoke College is a 4-year liberal arts institution, the second-oldest Lutheran-affiliated college in America. Roanoke offers over 100 areas of study on its Salem, Virginia, campus, all of which are complemented by a core curriculum where students can choose from a portfolio of classes based on what they’re interested in. The college also offers hands-on experience opportunities, including research programs where students work one-on-one with faculty, study abroad, service learning, and May Term intensive Learning, which often includes on-campus courses, traveling, and more. All students must complete one May Term to graduate. Roanoke maintains an Honors program, Fellows program, and scholarships for art, music, and theatre.
Roanoke College has a beautiful campus. There is a small community feeling, and you can get to know everyone really well....including the teachers. Roanoke has a variety of opportunities for students both academically and socially.
