We're not in a college town, so unless you have a car, it might be a little difficult to find something different to do. But there are buses to the mall on weekends and many clubs and organizations have events that can be a lot of fun! I've been to several improv shows, some dances, and joined clubs to keep myself busy.

Anything!! Join acapella, dance, Quidditch, any of the intramurals. There is always something going on. There are free movies every Thursday, random barbecues, etc.

Division 1 Hockey games are a blast! RIT also provides many opportunities for social events and a bus to transport you to the mall and downtown.

There is a lot to do on campus. Nerds play video games and jocks play sports. The sport programs on campus are great and the facilities are amazing. The pool, track, and gym are really nice and up to date. There are so many clubs to join. There is really no excuse to be bored.

Joining a club is always fun, and you can try out as many as you like! There is no limit on clubs here. The College Activities Board also has lots of fun things happening every week. I also enjoy going to the wellness facility and working out or going ice skating at the Frank Ritter Ice Arena. Or going to Hockey Games.

There are oh-so-many athletics, clubs and events and concerts going on here that you will never be bored! Just to name some, there are free stuff on campus for a week each season (freezefest on winter, springfest etc), we had Macklemore, Steve Aoki, Fun, Kanye West and other amazing singers coming to our campus, we have each departments having their own conferences, clubs lead major events for Balls, Mud tugs, Movie nights...

There's events and clubs very regularly on campus. You can watch the sports teams play too. I enjoyed going to the CAB movie nights - they show a movie on a huge projection screen in one of the auditoriums every Thursday night. It's a lot of fun to go get some food on campus, then see a move with friends.

There are a ton of clubs dedicated to niche interest and being nerdy. I personally love Electronic Gaming Society. As far as off campus, there's a downtown scene but I haven't personally explored it. RIT also hosts some pretty cool events such as Imagine RIT, and Brick City. There's a new division 1 hockey rink opening in Fall 2014, which I'm personally dying for. The College Activities Board is also dead-set on hosting activities that get students to socialize and have fun.
