Use the resources they have! Talk with an academic adviser, and get tutoring to boost your grade (it's free). Because of the small class size, you can interact a lot with your instructors, and I've found that to be very beneficial to me. Real every syllabus and keep it on hand during the semester, do the required reading, and talk to other students who have taken or are taking classes with the same professor! TL;DR- get as much information as you can and plan ahead!
