1)Join a club. This is the best way to meet people at Rock Valley College, as most people are concerned with taking their classes and leaving. Check the RVC website for information. Clubs range from just for fun(Belegarth, Ultimate Frisbee,Anime club, Spanish movie night club, etc), fields of study(philosophy club,Psych/Soc Club, MEPA, etc), and more. 2) Play in the music practice rooms 3)Go see the theater plays 4)from time to time, there will be an activity hosted by some organization. Read the posters around school, or read online for them. There have been some music performers, speakers, and small competitions. Besides this, there isn't much to do besides sit somewhere and talk to people.

There is always something going on in the student center. The campus activities board tries to plan events that everyone would enjoy participating in. There are holiday contests, guest speakers, dances, and lots of other fun. The Rockford area has an extreme amount of events and fun things to do. There is professional hockey and baseball. There is a wide variety of museums and gardens. The Cherry Valley Mall offers a wide variety of stores and Downtown Rockford offers a unique shopping experience of local businesses. The area offers two ice skating rinks, a roller skating rink, two waterparks, and six bowling alleys.

Since RVC is a community college, there isn't as much to do as there is at four year schools. There are however many clubs you can get involved in, as well as musical ensembles, choirs, and theater productions (both plays and musicals). If you're looking for something to do, there will always be something available through the school!

Hang out and laugh between classes. The school still feels youthful and fun, so it's pretty easygoing.

There are several clubs like Ultimate Frisbee, Bowling, Tabletop Gaming, and plenty more! Students are also welcomed to start up their own clubs.

So many student led activities, student groups and organizations to join. Of course, you should get involved in these activities. Being involved around campus will enhance your experience at RVC and, who wants to ONLY go to classes?
