Rose has an extremely nice campus. There is plenty of space to have a catch of a football or baseball or work out in the SRC (the gym). The SRC is a fine facility with a full weight room, indoor track, and raquetball courts. There are many entertainment events organized by the the activities board and other clubs such as comedians, magicians, and other entertainers. Terre Haute has the regular entertainment options like movie theaters, restaurants, malls, bowling alleys, etc.

Rose-Hulman is not a party school but there are parties at the frat houses which are fun and there are a variety of activities to do on campus, There are a ton of clubs to joins and Intramurals to participate in. If going out is not your thing, there's always people watching movies or playing games. The sophomore advisors are always planning things for the floor/dorm to do as well. In addition there are the sporting events to go to.

Terre Haute is rather small. You have a couple bowling alleys and skating rinks, even a refuge for exotic cats, but other than that, it's the friends you make that make your year. I can't remember how many midnight Walmart runs I've made, just to pull a few pranks on the people there with my friends.

There are tons of clubs and groups on campus to join if you are looking for something to do. There are also several events throughout the year open to all campus to participate in. These events are hosted by different groups: fraternities and sororities, academic groups, other clubs, residence hall staff, etc. Our Hatfield Hall also hosts many shows throughout the school year and student's often get free tickets. Intramurals are also a big thing at Rose. There is never a shortage of things to do on campus. Outside campus, Terre Haute isn't exactly the most exciting place to be in, but you can still find things to do.

Even though it is a technical school, there is always something going on at Rose-Hulman. Countless charity events are held on campus in order to better the surrounding area. Also, sports events are a very hot commodity when deciding what to do on the weekends (if we are not stuck doing homework). No matter what it is you like to do, there is something for you that is offered at Rose-Hulman.
