    I'm an online student.

    Dorm Life

    I'm an online student.

    Academic Rigor

I have found my classes to be challenging, but not too difficult to fit into my schedule. As an online student, I can take 2 classes per term and they move at a quick pace. With the proper planning, the assignments are manageable (again, considering I am a working mom) and I am able to complete my work on time.

    In three sentences

I looked around at other online schools that were a potential match, but none of them were as attentive, professional and engaging as they were at SNHU. I feel like my advisor(s) and instructors actually care about my success and are always available. SNHU is making the process of getting my degree, as a working adult and mom, so much easier than I thought it could be.

    Bang for the buck

I give this four stars simply because I have found other smaller colleges that offer online programs but, since I've enrolled at SNHU Online, I've been treated so well that the slightly higher price and amazing customer service is well-worth what the tuition costs.

    What to do for fun

I don't live in New Hampshire, but as far as what I personally like to do for fun, I write (hence my Creative Writing program). I enjoy creating stories out of my experiences, emotions, etc and making something people like to read. With my past experiences at a technical college, I enjoyed sitting outside on pretty days or in the library on rainy and chilly days writing. In fact, I wrote my entire first draft of my first novel (which I am still working on) in the library of my previous technical college.

    Food and Dining

Again, this doesn't really apply to me because of the online school, but SNHU has been extremely flexible with me so I think they would have good food and meal plans for their students.

    Dorm Life

Since I'm attending online school, this doesn't really apply to me, but I would like to think their dorms are amazing...based on how I've been treated anyway.

    Academic Rigor

Some of the classes are more difficult while some are pretty easy (in my opinion). The beginning classes like the first history class you take, for example, may seem easy but they build up with each class. I'm in my second history class (the last one I actually need) and I have noticed familiar things brought up in my first class, and that has helped me understand what I might not have the first time.

    Tips for prospective students

Don't hesitate to contact them about enrolling, getting financial aid, experiences technical issues, etc because they are very personable with every student! Be prepared for an e-mail or phone call from your advisor every now and then. They check up on me regularly to make sure things are going well and to answer any questions.

    In three sentences

They are very friendly and active - always willing to answer any and all of my many questions! They helped me step-by-step in my enrollment process, as well as in getting financial aid. The classes are short and to the point, only teaching what we need to know - something I consider to be a necessity.

Great for these types of students

Taking online classes with SNHU is a good option for students who are self-disciplined and know how to manage their time. It could be an option for those who aren't that great at it too, only because advisors will help you and you end up figuring it out while you're taking the classes as well.

    What to do for fun

Joining any online clubs or honors societies is great! There are a variety of clubs to join and meet me new people with similar interests.

    Academic Rigor

The professors I have had are confident in what they teach. I can tell that they are professionals and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to what they are teaching.

    In three sentences

The academic advisors are extremely helpful as they check in on you at least twice per term. The coursework load is not too overwhelming as long as you manage your time. Every professor I have had so far has been nice and understanding of each student's needs.
