The campus looks beautiful but it can be a lie! The winter here can be pretty gloomy but the fall and spring time is amazing. The popular things to study are engineering, business, and nursing.

An intense school where people work hard and party harder. Very easy to fall through the cracks if you don't keep up with your work. A diverse and extremely accepting environment for all.

It's a good school for sciences and Long Island natives with hit or miss professors. The dorm life can be lonely, and the weather is really cold. You have to work hard to make your experience enjoyable.

You can get an efficient degree without much hassle. You won't have to adjust much from whatever got you Bs in high school and you can knock off a bunch of courses by using your AP credits. It is not the same school that was once called the public ivy.

Binghamton lives up to its prestigious reputation. Attending Binghamton, you get the chance to experience a small community within a large school thanks to the various dorm communities on campus. Best four years of my life.

Disclosure: This reviewer is an adjunct faculty member (since 1997) as well as a student in one of the PhD programs. However, this reviewer attended BU in 1976 as a transfer student (dropped out in senior year) and again in 1984 completing both UG and MS by 1989. This is one of the top 100 schools in the country. It promotes research at the UG stage which provides practical experience desired by employers. Students can earn post-graduate degrees; some programs combine UG and Grad degrees reducing the time to earn both degrees.
