Downtown always has a ton of events going on, as well as the campus. There's always concerts, food truck events, FSA events, parades, games and more!

For those above the legal age, there are quite a lot of bars in town that are well within walking distance of campus. They have trivia nights, band performances, dance floors, and weekly food and drink specials. You'll find your favorites. Lake Erie is just a 10 minute drive away where you can visit Point Gratiot Park and the Dunkirk Lighthouse. It's a nice beach for the few weeks during the academic year when it's actually warm out. There's a really nice gym on campus that is free and open to all students. Join a CLUB! They can be academic or activity-based and they help arrange trips or activities on campus. Look at all the posters around campus or you might miss a really awesome event. Take the time to read them! Take a walk to the creek across the road from campus. There are plenty of bonfire spots and it's deep enough in some spots to swim a little. It's nice on any day for skipping stones and hanging out with friends. 10 minutes away in Dunkirk is a used bookstore with an awesome selection of books for low prices. They also host open-mic nights at least once a semester.

There are more than 100 clubs on campus, so joining some clubs and hang out with them might be a good choice. As I said, Fredonia locates in a small village, far away from the big cities so there will not be so many entertainments. There are internship chances and volunteering opportunities around campus, which I will recommend.

Take a walk to the creek! Relax and listen to music, get work done while the soothing sounds of the water and nature help you focus! Go to a concert! Every week there are concerts and recitals that are absolutely free! At a school heavily focused on music, these shows never disappoint!

I sing in an all-female a capella group! It's incredibly fun! The ladies in my group are like my sisters and when we all come together we can really produce an amazing sound that entertains our fellow classmates and even the community members. I also try to stay active in groups and clubs on campus such as Wilderness Club, American Sign Language club, Biology club, Psychology club, etc. There's also Lake Erie not even five minutes from campus that is always beautiful to visit- even in the winter!

Depends on what your into, for me my work is very rewarding and fun at times that it's not too stressful, but there is a pretty cool nightlife if you're into that kind of thing.

There are plenty of clubs on campus, and if there isn't one quite your style you can always go through Student Association to start one of your own. There is also a free to students community bus that can take you around both Dunkirk and Fredonia if you need to go shopping or want to get a haircut or just hang out somewhere away from the college atmosphere. (or you know, go to a club).
