I am studying in the Math and Science Division which has a newly acclaimed status of the top 11% of the nation's best schools in Math and Science. But the curriculum appears to be very useful and informative. I believe the curicculum gives a student the education and resouces to be successful in not only recieving a degree but moving on into graduate school or in the workforce.
To find more tips for prospective students, what to do for fun and whether this school is great for a particular type of student read the 31 reviews for Saint Augustine's University

Saint Aug should be shut down right now. It's a money hungry school that has university behind their name but it's really a private college that don't mind digging in your pockets for the extra money. They promise work study and scholarships pertaining to your area of study even if you qualify they still don't put the money onto your account to help pay off your tuition. Football team only won like 2 games out of the whole season and basketball teams are terrible as well track is awesome and continue to win every single year. However food is TERRIBLE, Dorms are TOO EXPENSIVE, and you're paying more for less education. You'd think you were in high school with the workload! The average incoming student has about a 1.7 to 2.0 GPA and can't get accepted anywhere else. The college doesn't have all the majors and minors it says it has in the website. Whatever you do just don't go to SAU. They're losing their accreditation and you can't transfer to another school even if you had great grades because the coursework for private is different for public. Some professors and residence hall directors sleep with students. Greek life is tragic they let anyone walk on their plots, not all plots are complete or clean. Security let anyone in the gate no Student ID required and many students have firearms in their vehicles. It's just not a good college at all. Just go to a community college or a PUBLIC UNIVERSITY NEAR YOU!!!!! SAU isn't worth your time or money!!!!
Read MoreSAU is one of the worst HBCUs' out. The school is in financial trouble due to the previous president and other faculty misusing funds, they unwisely decided to build a football stadium for a team that sucks and currently owes $650,000 to the contractors who stopped working because they werent getting paid, they laid off 30+ people and furloughed staff, 12 month employees will only get paid for 10 months, 11 Summer classes were cut, and they don't want to offer work-study, scholarships, or grants. Many students didn't return for the 2014 Spring Semester as they transferred and more are talking about not returning in the Fall. Freshmen enrollment is at 198 and if more don't enroll they will have more cuts. Majority of the staff here are very unprofessional & rude. I hate to say it but they act as ghetto as the surrounding neighborhoods. They are not equipped to teach the next generation of professionals. It's sad because not all the staff is like that but the bad outweighs the good. When you come in for Registration be prepared to get the run around and to be there all day!! It's very unorganized too Your paperwork will get lost..keep copies!!
