Am learning a lot
The teachers at St. Joe's are very friendly and welcome questions at any time. At the beginning of the semester you will be given their office hours and they tell you, you can always email them or go up to their office for help. The class size ranges from 20-25 students. This gives students a lot of one on one with teachers if they need it.
Am enjoying being here
Everyone at St. Joe's is very nice. At most high schools your social status matters if you are a freshmen or if you are a senior. At St. Joe's I have noticed that doesn't matter. I have become friends with people throughout different classes. The rooms at St. Joe's are very nice for college campus dorms. You can arrange your room to how you like it and make it home like if you want. The food at St. Joe's is a definite plus! More than half of the food here is organic food. St. Joe's has its own garden where vegetables are grown. All of the salad dresses are home made as well.
Bang for the buck
I live in a low income family, so I was trying to find the college that would give me the best offer for financial aid. At St. Joe's they gave me more than half of the price to go to St. Joe's. Most of the financial aid was grants and work study money. There are few loans that you are given and will have to pay back.
Tips for prospective students
If you need help from any teacher, ask your teacher right away. Do not wait until the last minute. Your teachers are willing to help you if you show the effort that you want the help.
Great for these types of students
St. Joe's is a great college for students who want to be at a smaller college campus where most everyone knows who everyone is. Throughout the school year there are activities put on for St. Joe's that students can attend. St. Joe's is also a great school for students who want to go to a smaller college campus to get the education they need.

The atmosphere is community-oriented. Very small, close-knit community. Almost like continuing high school as it is a very small community of people.
Tips for prospective students
You will love St. Joseph's if you like small schools. It has a beautiful campus with a lake. I would recommend taking advantage of these things that others may not be aware of.
Academic Rigor
I found Saint Joe's curriculum challenging and appropriate for grade level. I didn't find any courses too difficult, definitely challenging, but manageable.
Dorm Life
I loved O'Connor hall! The dorms are great and not too small.
Food and Dining
The cafeteria definitely needs improvement. More options would be a good start!
What to do for fun
Portland is only about 20 minutes away, so going into town is fun. Also, every restaurant, bank, shopping center is right nearby for convenience. When the weather is nice the beach down at the lake is beautiful and lots of fun.

A little over-priced for what it offers.

Am learning a lot
Saint Joe's has an extremely wide curriculum which lets you choose which classes interest you for your electives. Of course there are courses required which you must take, but if you pay attention, ask the professor for help (which they are ecstatic about doing), and learn an effective way to study for you, you will do well. With all the information that you are privy to, it's phenomenal how much you learn! I'm in my sophomore year and I still remember the smallest facts from the beginning of my freshman year.
Am enjoying being here
This campus is very homey and cozy. Everyone goes out of their way to either say hello or smile while passing. The overall campus is set up almost like a community, so getting to know people is very easy if you are open to it.
Bang for the buck
At Saint Joe's you really get what you pay for. The expanse of knowledge, the wide array of courses, and the daily smiles are a great way to spend your college experience.
Tips for prospective students
Learn the way that's best for YOU to study and don't be afraid to ask for help. Fellow students and faculty are very willing to work with you, whatever your circumstances may be.
Great for these types of students
This college is great for students who want a great college experience that includes many opportunities to learn a wide array of information, while living in a friendly environment.
