As I do not live on campus, this is also a hard area for me to comment on. I do know they have a lot of activities and clubs available. Also, since it's in Salem, you have everything downtown Salem has to offer just a short distance from campus. There are museums, parks, tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. Just down the street from campus, there is Forest River Park. This is a great place to go and there is a small beach there as well.

Downtown Salem! It's great (although busy and hard to drive) in October, there's the Peabody Essex Museum downtown, as well as a ton of haunted houses and other tourist attractions, and downtown is only a half an hour walk or you could take the free student shuttle.

I've joined the GSA, which is a blast, and I hang out with friends a lot. I formed a few study groups, and I go to a lot of sports games whenever I can to support my school.

Downtown Salem is about a 20 minute walk and there's bookstores, stores, cafes, and restaurants. There's also museums about Salem and it' history. It's never boring.

Salem has tons of sports teams and clubs to join which everyone should take advantage of. October is a great time to be at Salem State as well because Salem is known for their Halloween attractions. Salem is also close by lots of shopping like the Northshore Mall and the campus is fairly active with students hanging out all around.

This is Salem, a place so rich with history so they're always something to do around here, especially during the fall months. Being a Salem State student you do get free admission into places such as the Witch museum and the Peabody Essex Museum.

DEFINITELY go down town! Especially in October, the whole month is one big halloween-fest and there are people literally from all over the world. There are always tons of things to do downtown and the campus is actually pretty good about coming up with activities and events for students as well.
