It is okay as a state run University. I didn't feel that I had any support while going here and commuters lose out on connecting with events, fellow students, faculty and campus life. Tried to like it, but it left no lasting impression. As they build new offices and buildings, they pay less attention to student needs, we become last on the list.

this place has made a huge turn around. i really like it. i was hoping to take the online degree program, but i found out it really isn't a totally online degree program. they have a number of online classes. but not enough to complete any majors exclusively through the internet.

I absolutely love Salem State. The professors, at least for night students, mostly work in the field or have worked in the field and offer great insight. The campus is so convenient for me, as well.

Salem State University is a great place for those students trying to get a quality education on a state school's tuition. Some of the better majors include geography, nursing, and theatre. The academic standards are on the lower side, but there is a lot of opportunity for students who have the ambition to seek out additional opportunities.
