IT'S SO CHEAP!!! Money wise that is. Relatively, all the classes are of high-quality education with the fraction of the price compared to schools within and out of the state. Also, if you can't apply for FAFSA because say you were too late, or you're a DACA recipient... they offer the STIL Payment program. You pretty much pay your tuition in installments. Also, Luz Gamarra is so INSANELY helpful for DACA Students!! I'm personally not a DACA recipient but from what I've heard and seen, she's truly meant for her job.

I feel for the quality I received it is not that good. For financial aid they gave me miss leading information that made me send in the wrong information and miss out on the aid that I qualified for. As a first time student, and as a father with full time work, when I asked questions of financial aid or the counselors for information i not once was given a full answer or correct information. now I am stuck paying for classes when this all could have been avoided. every thing they told me to turn in was done on time but because the incomplete info and misleading communications .

nester noomon 07\12\2016 writing900 ann fillmore salt lake community college academic advising salt lake community college academic advising center is great because it contains a lot of help. the advisors at the academic advising center do a really good job at advising. they take their time with the student in need of help. the student explains the situation they are facing and the advisors ask the student what kind of changes they would like to make in their situation. and once the student figures out the changes they would like to make. the advisor gives the student a couple option they can use in their situation to change the difficulty they are facing at salt lake community college. during the advising the advisors put themselves in the student position. as in what they would do if they were the student, what would first thing that would come to their mind if they were the student and what kind of changes would they like to make. the advisors make their decisions carefully according to the student needs. because most of the advisors at salt lake community college attend the some college as well. so most of them have experience when it comes to some of the struggles the student are faced with. because they went to college as well. for an example there was a time i was in need of advising because i wasnã¢â?â?t sure what classes to take a semester because my acuplacer scores had me worried. so i took the advantage and went to the academic advising center. when i got there i asked respectfully if i could meet with an advisor and the lady in the front desk asked me to sign up and have a seat and wait for the advisor. so i did and the advisor came and we went to his office and i introduced myself and he introduce himself as well we sat down and he asked me what he could help me with and i explain my situation to him gently in a clam manner. once he listened to the difficulties i was facing he give me a couple of option and help me plan my class for each semester. which really help me because i now know what i am doing and anytime iã¢â?â?m faced with a problem i am never afraid to go to the academic advising center for help. a couple of things i personally feel like the academic advising center at salt lake community college could improve on is the waiting list. i feel like the waiting list is too long you have to wait like 30 minutes until another advisor is available to see you which is wrong because a lot of student are really in a hurry sometimes or have work to go to after so some canã¢â?â?t wait that long. i think they should really open up another advising center on campus because a lot of student are in need. also i personally feel like if they had couple advisor that can speak maybe french or another language it would be helpful because some student come from another country that struggle with english and need help with understanding how to plan for their classes or other things but thatã¢â?â?s what i personally feel like they can improve on. based on my experience i would award the advising center 4 stars.

SLCC gives you a lot of opportunities for a moderate tuition and I have found that it works well to attend if you want to get a certificate, transfer, or fill in classes that you will need for your major.
