  • Jan-10-2015 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

The campus is absolutely Beautiful. I toured with my AVID class researching colleges. The people are nice and since the town is small everything is close by. The only weird part is the church pastor next to the campus is absolutely crazy, especially about lgbt. The schools main focus is criminal justice and have had a few major trials RIGHT ON CAMPUS! You actually get to study in the court room where they are held. They have a massive gym with rock walls and 2 storys of equiptment. I recommend taking a look.

  • Jan-08-2015 I am accepted here and planning to attend soon

Hi, my name is Ashlee, and I've been accepted to Sam Houston for the Fall 2015 semester. I like to be very active in school and I have a wide variety of things I enjoy doing, and was planning on taking a tour of the school some time during January or February. Does anyone have any advice for me about the tour, regarding what kinds of questions to ask, what to request seeing and what I should pay close attention to, or just any other advice?

The councilors are all very educated and helpful with leading and helping you plan your out your college courses to get you toward your desired degree. I am in the nursing program at Sam and although it is new and still trying to work out the kinks, the staff is very helpful and encouraging to the students and work well to help you achieve your dreams. Overall it is a nice campus, easy to facilitate, everything is in close proximity is a relatively safe and comfortable area to live in and attend school.
