San Diego State University is a public research institution located in San Diego, California. What began as an all-female college for elementary school teachers now consists of 8 colleges that offer 95 undergraduate programs plus a variety of graduate options. Today, SDSU conducts research in health issues, energy solutions, and robotics, while the Zahn Innovation Platform and Lavin Entrepreneurship Center provides students with the tools to start their own businesses. Students at SDSU have residential options that include traditional dorm rooms, Living-Learning communities, as well as gender-inclusive housing, or they can opt to live abroad using the SDSU exchange programs, ISEP, California State University International Programs, and more.
