I advise all incoming students to make the most of each and every opportunity given to you at this lovely institution. My experience at Seminole was enhanced because I made the decision to become involved and took the time to do more than just attend classes. Though it is a commuter college there are still plenty of activities you can get involved with to help you succeed. Please, please, please do more than just attend classes. Get involved and transform yourself. Go state, go far!

I do have a few tips for prospective students. First, take rate my professor with a grain of salt because there are students who will rate positively or negatively depending on the grades they got, not the quality of the professor, and it really does not take into account learning styles. When searching for prospective professors ask students who have already taken the class for the best results. Secondly, get involved on campus. It sounds cliche I know, however, there is a lot you learn about yourself and how you work with others and leads to a lot of personal development and leadership which is vital. Form study groups through the Sakai messaging system if you are struggling with a class because that can really help not only yourself, but others as well. Lastly, meet with your academic adviser and get an educational plan to plan out your schedule.
