My first year I didn't like the food and had my parent almost always send me money so I could order off campus but that got costly because the meal plans are not always that great to pick from. I would suggest that you go shopping at the local Walmart or dollar general to get the essentials that you might need to eat especially if its something that you don't like. The cafeteria runs out of food so that would be a typical suggestion.

The food is disgusting at Shaw. Yes, people eat the food but it is unsatisfactory. The only time that the food is good is on Fried Chicken Wednesdays. The cafe gets really crowded so get there early and get your plates.

The food is nice but some people disagree. I tend to stick to eating some stuff I brought from home but other than that, If you have a different kind of lifestyle, there are various options when it comes to food. The dining times are pretty appropriate as well.

The food is ok. (In quotations) A lot of people complain about the food when they clearly deserve it because they do no work. McDonalds is across the street but that gets old, and gets the student more than the freshman fifteen, it gets you the freshman eighty five.

The on campus food was good but the menu stayed the same. The location of the dining area was great. The dining area was clean.

There are sororities and fraternities around but you have to get out there and really make an effort to join. There isn't greek housing so it's kind of up to you to find the people in the sororities for yourself.
