I am in my second year here. I think the campus could use an upgrade in every area. I like that fact that the school is small and a private and that to me is a plus because I would prefer being in a small setting because I think a student could get lost in a big school where there are so many students that the teachers don't have enough time to spend the much needed one on one time to meet with students who need extra help. It's nice when your teachers are always to help out when you need them.

Shaw University is a small college that is private. The area is good for being a HBCU but the school cost a lot of money and it will go up each year. The school has good programs but some majors the school does not have.

It's an okay school but I honestly haven't seen too many people that are serious about going here. The atmosphere makes me nervous because I feel like hooking up is one of the priorities.
