Unless you attend a community college, this is probably the cheapest in state university that you will come across. I'm very pleased with the prices. The only thing I would change is some of the unnecessary fees.

There is no school that is more worth it than Shepherd. Period. If you are an in-state student who got the Promise Scholarship, you will be attending literally for free. For other students, full tuition is less than what they probably spent on a car. And what a great value for it! Shepherd has a lot of wonderful academic programs as well some great sports teams and offers a good overall college experience.

Tuition for the year was only $6,300 (including my lab fees) and was covered by grants, so (despite how awful it is) for such a low cost school I feel like I shouldn't have any expectations. Tuition is increasing to $6,700 though, and I'll pay more for various class fees. Summer classes are freakishly expensive at $700 per class though.

Tuition is really low and class sizes are relatively small. Sometimes you may not get into a class you want because its at capacity.
