Do not wait until the last minute to handle financial aid or to buy books. You will be in line forever waiting to talk to someone. If you go early, usually there is no wait.

Make sure you talk with your counselor, many students I've met complain they took the wrong classes that led them astray from their two year degree plan. Make sure you always attend class and speak with the professor; attending is for obvious reason and the professors aren't too over-run with students to stop and help you. This is college so it's not a joke make sure you pay attention in class, have all your needed material, and always attend class on time

This is not the typical college experienceschool. It is all commuter and many students range from the ages of 18-80 (not joking! I've had an 80 year old in my psychology class.) But be prepared to learn here. The teachers really do care and will help you if you ask them. I have never had a bad teacher here. The class sizes are small here, so you get more attention. We only have 3 lecture halls.
